Rolex Ladies’ Watch

This gold Rolex ladies’ watch is now ready for sale. A tag reveals it is as a tested chronometer. Chronometer-testing is the rule for Rolex Oyster models.

Dignified Elegance

Reference 5441/9 has a smooth-surface white gold case with striped fluted hoods between the band lugs. Its dial is decorated with concentric, engine-turning grooves around the main scale, and this pattern is also repeated on the movement plate here with the balance as the “epicenter.”

The Submariner, often apostrophized as the “mother of all diving watches,” has also proven itself in diving watch tests.

Long Live Sports

In 1976, with the introduction of a screw-down push piece, the cosmograph got its first upgrade. There was a series (Ref. 6263) with black bezel and one (Ref. 6265) with engraved and polished bezel. However, it would take until 1988 before the “Oyster cosmograph” became the “Oyster Perpetual cosmograph” and, as the name indicates, got an automatic-winding mechanism.
